LDS church officially opposes mixed race marriages.

Steve, I think I see you ego-surfing and hitting my site from time to time. If you have a problem with anything of yours that I include, just let me know.

Everyone else: I saw a post on the RfM board that I have to share here. Official LDS policy discourages interracial marriage, and Steve Benson does a good job of bringing all the church statements together to show just how backwards the church still is.  Here is the post:

The lily-white High Command of the Mormon Church wants you to listen up, President Barack Obama: 

Anti-mormonism has stalled out…

It’s been hard to find any good articles on RfM this week, and my theory is that the anti-mormon universe is all wrapped up in Prop 8 right now. Maybe, even, the impending Presidential election in the US is taking time away from some posters.

But the most active issue has been Flatlander getting exed for opposing Prop 8. Flatlander started a website, http://signingforsomething.org , which is attempting to organize Mormons in opposition to the proposition. A fine effort, I think, but the church appears to be ready to do the closest thing they can to execution to get rid of the problem. Excommunication.

This is a “No on 8″ blog, but I’m not in California, so I can’t vote on it myself.  But if you are in California, please vote No. A vote against Prop 8 is a vote against institutionalized bigotry.

They are supremesists. Like the JWs, they believe they are the gatekeepers for eternal life. They have the one true way, the only keys to Heaven, meaning the CK. They think their males have actual magic power to speak for and do miricles in the name of God Almighty.
